Harness Zip Boot Black Suede

Italian made, high quality black suede harness boot

Our Vincent Harness Boot, in black suede, is a very special boot. We also have them in black calf, plus tan and grey suede. We also do a black suede version without the straps, called Memphis. Vincent looks amazing with blue or black jeans. They are hand crafted in Italy, using the high quality black calf. It's a really nice suede, very soft to the touch, a real sign of its quality.

Craftsmanship/attention to detail

There is a 3 piece harness, the straps joined by 2 metal loops. There is a full length side zip, and a reinforced pull loop. You may notice the boot has a higher 40mm heel, genuine leather stacked. Our Eastwood boots by comparison have a 25mm heel. The heel is slightly angled, together with the height, inspired by, or a nod towards a cuban heel.There is a full leather black sole, blake stitched, with Thomas Bird branding embossed in the waist. The last style, the shape of the boot, is slightly enlongated, with a rounded toe shape. Looking at the side profile it has a beautiful, sweeping silhouette. The overall height profile of 22cm (approx 9") from the floor.

Soft calf leather lining

Unbuttoning the strap,and unzipping the boot, we can see, and feel, that the interior is fully calf lined. Again th is sign of quality. It helps your foot slip in, and it absorbs moisture to prolong the life of the boot. And there is a full leather insole for breathability. What you can’t see are the stiffeners between the calf upper and lining. There is one in the toe and another at the back. These are important to keep the boot shape looking good as it ages, and we use longer, high quality stiffeners to achieve this.

Stitched leather sole

The sole is stitched onto the upper with a traditional Italian method called blake stitching. Th is an in-channel, lock stitching technique, so even if one stitch was worn the others will still be locked securely in place. And being stitched the sole can be replaced if it eventually wears.

40mm stacked leather heel

The 40mm leather heel has a half rubber top piece to help with wear and grip, which can be easily replaced if worn. The boot fits snug. It has less 'give' than say a cheslea boot with elastic sides. We would recommend you go one size larger than your usual size as it is a slender boot and a snug fitting The leather is really supple and beautiful on this boot.
