Crafted for women, inspired by tradition - Thomas Bird ladies shoes

For over a decade, Thomas Bird has been known for creating beautifully made men’s shoes and boots, combining British design with Italian craftsmanship. With more than 4,000 five star reviews and a loyal following around the world, our approach has always been simple: make high quality footwear that looks and feels exceptional.

Now, we’re proud to introduce something entirely new. Our first women’s collection. Four new designs, all handcrafted in Italy, bringing the same comfort, craftsmanship, and attention to detail that define everything we make.

Four New Styles, One Shared Standard

Over the years, we’ve had countless women tell us how much they love the comfort, colours and character of our men’s range. Many have been wearing our loafers and boots, simply because they couldn’t find anything else quite like them.

So, we listened. Working closely with some of those customers and stylists, we created a collection built around four classic styles. Refined, versatile, and designed to become part of your everyday wardrobe.

Each style takes inspiration from one of our men’s classics and is handcrafted in Italy using the same premium materials and Blake stitched construction.

Available in our five of our signature colours: oxblood, tan, brown, blue, and black. These shades are bold and beautiful, yet understated. True to Thomas Bird’s character.

The Roma Penny Loafer

The Roma is our new penny loafer for women. A refined and elegant design inspired by our men’s Henley Tassel Loafer and the classic preppy look. Its smooth, rounded toe and clean silhouette make it a shoe that works from day into night, balancing modern polish with everyday ease.

Handcrafted in Italy from full grain leather, the Roma features a hand dyed patina in rich tones like oxblood, chestnut, blue, and black. The Blake stitched sole blends leather with discreet rubber inserts for grip and flexibility, while a fully leather lined interior ensures all day comfort and breathability.

The Siena is our take on the Cambridge, one of the most popular styles in our men’s collection. This women’s wingtip Oxford brogue blends traditional craftsmanship with a refined, sculpted silhouette. The result is a shoe that feels confident and elegant in equal measure, equally in the office with tailored trousers or a dinner date and a flowing skirt.

Crafted from premium Italian calf leather, the Siena showcases intricate broguing and a hand finished patina in warm tones of tan, brown, oxblood, and black. Like all Thomas Bird shoes, it’s fully leather lined and built on a Blake stitched sole for durability and flexibility.
