Taking inspiration from the 1960s American biker boot, our striking Memphis zip boot has been pared down for a cleaner, sleeker look. Its minimalist styling and higher, angled heel ooze elegance and attitude, and its unique, slim silhouette sets it in a class of its own.

Our Memphis zip boot is exceptionally cool and sexy. The angled higher heel has a nod to the Cuban heel which gives the wearer poise and elegance, and the subtle lines make it versatile and easy to wear.

Stitched black leather sole and stacked leather heel

The gorgeous Memphis zip boot has a 40mm stacked leather heel, with a quarter rubber top-piece for grip.

The sole in leather is painted black with the distinctive Thomas Bird logo in the waist, and with no visible pins, the clean simplicity of this boot follows through right down to the sole.

Materials and craftsmanship

We work with the finest Italian artisan shoemakers who showcase their expertise in cutting, shaping, stitching and dying leathers, skilled crafts that have been handed down through the generations.

With attention to detail being paramount, leathers are carefully selected by weight and pliability and cut to form the pattern to fit the last. Then several stages of dying, polishing and burnishing create the depth and richness of the classic black colour.
