Buckingham is a stylish blucher based on the same last as our Benson wholecut. It has the open lacings of a derby but without the derby seam, and creates that clean, uninterrupted wholecut look. In a beautiful rich chestnut, this shoe will add colour and warmth to any outfit.

Why choose the chestnut Buckingham?

Bourne is an elegant double-buckle monkshoe with a clean, contemporary silhouette for a formal or smart casual look.

With its distinctive capped rounded toe and two metal buckles adding subtle appeal, the Bourne is comfortable and stylish, and in our stunning rich oxblood, these shoes exhibit an air of understated confidence.

A pair of Bourne monkstraps complement smart tailoring beautifully but try them sockless with a jacket and light chinos for a more contemporary, individual look. With the hardware adding detail and interest, this is a smart casual shoe that transitions easily from day to evening wear. The rich oxblood pairs perfectly with navy adding colour and flair to enhance your outfit.

Stitched leather sole and stacked leather heel

The sole is stitched onto the upper using a traditional and refined Italian method called Blake stitching. This allows the sole to be easily replaced when it eventually wears but we've used a rubber insert as well, to aid longevity and grip.

There is a 25mm genuine-leather stacked heel, with 4 brass pins and a rubber piece, again for better performance and grip. There is also a ‘gentleman’s corner’, a small bevel that reduces snagging of the heel on your trousers.

Materials and craftsmanship

We work with the finest Italian artisan shoemakers who showcase their expertise in cutting, shaping, stitching and dying leathers, skilled crafts that have been handed down through the generations.

With attention to detail being paramount, leathers are carefully selected by weight and pliability and cut to form the pattern to fit the last. Then several stages of dying, polishing and burnishing create the depth and richness of the unique chestnut colour.
