These shoes are gorgeous. The quality of the shoe is amazing. Even the soles are super high quality. The eggplant. color is just that. If you're looking for a shoe that is clearly purple and obnoxiously stands out, this is not the shoe for you. These shoes are literally an eggplant color. They gently fade from a darker shade to a lighter shade, from area to area. You will truly only be able to tel that they are a shade of purple with decent lighting. If you are outdoors, the sunlight will reveal it. If you are indoors with bright light, the same. That's when they make their appearance. It is a very sophisticated shoe in this way.

The new pair have just arrived (I ordered a size too small at first), and they fit like a glove. The color is beautiful, the leather is soft and feels of high quality, and the attention to detail is well apparent.
