Camden is a sleek formal shoe cut from a single piece of leather. It has a beautiful, clean silhouette and partnered with a Vibram rubber sole there is added longevity and practicality.
It has the traditional closed Oxford lacing and rounded toe for a timeless, classic look and in oxblood, is a sophisticated choice for formal workwear and an ideal, robust shoe, whatever the weather.
The Camden wholecut provides the ultimate all-round smart shoe - beautiful, simple lines with a robust, hard-wearing rubber sole that can be worn all day, in all weathers, and still be comfortable, dry and stylish.
Pair the oxblood Camden with a navy or grey tailored suit or add a dash of colour to your evening dress for an effortlessly sophisticated, stylised look.
A rubber Vibram sole gives the shoe a robustness, with its ability to grip better and last longer.
The Camden still has the stacked leather heel but with a full Vibram top piece covering the sole in a classic round-studded design with our distinctive laser-engraved Thomas Bird logo in the waist.
We work with the finest Italian artisan shoemakers who showcase their expertise in cutting, shaping, stitching and dying leathers, skilled crafts that have been handed down through the generations.
With attention to detail being paramount, leathers are carefully selected by weight and pliability and cut to form the pattern to fit the last. Then several stages of dying, polishing and burnishing create the depth and richness of the unique oxblood colour.
