Cillian Murphy wears Thomas Bird boots at Oppenheimer premiere
Peaky Blinder's star Cillian Murphy chose boots from Northampton shoe company Thomas Bird to help create a new look for the launch of his new movie Oppenheimer.
The first glimpses of Cillian wearing Thomas Bird boots appeared in last weekend's Guardian Saturday Magazine article.

Actor Cillian Murphy, famous for his role as Thomas Shelby in the BBC show Peaky Blinders picked boots from Northampton shoe brand Thomas Bird to help create a new look prior to the world premiere launch in Paris this week of his new film Oppenheimer.
At the Paris premiere he wore a pair of black Thomas Bird Memphis boots with a suit from Prada.

Cillian stars in the movie's leading role as the famous nuclear scientist. Other stars appearing in the film include Emily Blunt, Matt Damon and Robert Downey Jr. The film was directed by Batman/Dark Knight and Dunkirk director Christopher Nolan.

Northampton based shoe company Thomas Bird were asked to provide footwear for Cillian Murphy in the build up to the film's premiere. Following early screenings some critics are already tipping the film to do well at the Academy Awards later this year.
Adam Bugla at Thomas Bird explained how the connection to the film came about.
"We were contacted by Cillian's stylist Rose Forde who asked if Cillian could try our boots as part of developing some new styles. It's great to work with top stylists and we really love the results. It's also been inspirational to see the boots styled in a very contemporary styling with suits."
